Caring well
Ensuring everyone is safe and feels safe is something we take very seriously.
We accept the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Convention of Human Rights, which states that everyone is entitled to “all the rights and freedoms set forth therein, without distinction of any kind, such as race, colour, sex, language, religion, political or other opinion, national or social origin, property, birth or other status”.
Every individual is equally precious and deserving of support and protection. We also acknowledge that there are some groups within society who are less able to safeguard themselves, children and some adults deemed ‘at risk’ with additional care and support needs. For this reason we have set in place a ‘Safeguarding Everyone Policy’, which takes into consideration the needs of both of these groups.

If you think that a child or an adult with additional care and support needs is at immediate risk of harm and requires protection, you should contact the police by dialing 999.
